RSH Corporate Plan Primarily on Social Housing White Paper and diversity

The next three years corporate plan of Englands Social Housing Regulator emphasises on the implementation of government Proposals Overhaul consumer regulation.

The Regulator of Social Housing’s (RSH) new corporate plan sets out how it will approach its work between 2021 and 2024.

Its strategic objectives comprehend how to  implement the  policies in the Social Housing White Paper and developing its approach to promote shared learning and backing the sector to keep growing.

Even Though many providers scaled down their development plans amongst other spending pressures, the sector still aims to build more than 300,000 homes in the next five years, according to the Published plan report.

The RSH presumes a “significant change” over the lifespan of its plan as an outcome of white paper changes and policies arising from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.

Hence executing the white paper proposals “will take time” as many policies entail legislation, according to the  plan, but Prior to that the RSH will access the  new tenant satisfaction measures.

It also identified the Affordable Homes Programme, evaluation of the Decent Homes Standard, the Energy White Paper and the impending National Strategy for Disabled People as the other major policy areas are  influencing the  housing providers’ business plans.
